Title: Country of Origin
Post by: claphamsa on August 21, 2016, 06:58:30 PM
I think we should have the option of designating the details of our players we draft, it wont be a ton of work if its done after every draft... IE, I picked sapto djojoesposito in round 2...I should be able to rename him pierre sarkozy (or something french). maybe pick a slave comish to help with naming.

thoughts?

Maybe allow it for one guy in each draft.  :-\

I like this idea.  I was actually thinking of suggesting something along these lines with regard to nicknames.  For example, I drafted a power-hitting catcher named Decheng Zhang.  I have privately used his DZ initials to nickname him Danger Zone, but there's no way of putting that into OOTP.  Would be kind of fun if we could nickname a few guys on our teams.  I'm guessing some of the nicknames that GMs would come up with would be pretty amusing.

This may be fun for those of you actually winning.  As for me, I will get tired of nicknaming all of my players, "sucks shit through a straw"

I'm down with allowing one rename and nationality change to your team's home nation of your first pick in the draft each year.  Nickname change requests within the player's first professional season would probably be okay as well.

I'll post a new forum for these requests but these requests might fall behind from time to time as they're obviously not critical to gameplay.
