Trade Blocks and Discussions / Karachi Minors Trade Threads.
« on: May 28, 2017, 09:19:35 PM »
So folks, Karachi is looking to make some big moves in our minor leagues, no one in our minor teams is untouchable. If you like anyone in our minor roster and are looking to grab guys before the season is over to get them some ball time before next season, now would be a great time. We have plenty of talent and up and comers to go around. Looking for solid infield defense, basemen and SS.

General WBA Discussion / Karachi Season Start looks strong.
« on: May 25, 2017, 10:08:42 PM »
----- DATE - Sun, April 22nd
Jason Terry, a 30 year old hired out of the United Stats, a shocking decision by Karachi ownership. Jason has no experience in the realm of baseball management or scouting, although his background in mathematics and computer science give the impression that Karachi ownership is trying to follow suit of the Billy Bean controversy from back in the early 2000's. We caught up with the new GM for a few words.

"I am happy to be here, it's a great opportunity for myself and my family, and I am 100% committed to making The Falcons a team to be feared. The numbers seem to be in our favor for now, but the data pool is still a bit small, so things could go both ways."

Although optimistic his presence in the league has been met with some criticism regards to his lack of experience not only in management, but in baseball as well. One source close to the team who asked to remain unnamed said, " There's a lot of faith in him (Jason) to do the job, but I'm not so sure how much rope he will get," he went on to say, "They're really counting on him here, to do the job. However I just don't think someone who doesn't know baseball can really step up in his position."

Jason also felt the need to comment on his attention to Karachi Minors, and the important role they would play in rebuilding the team for a better future. "Minors are the life line for any team, they are a guaranteed resource we can tap into without the hoops and hurdles of trades and greedy transactions. I feel going forward, attention to them will help The Falcons grow and bring home wins." The new Karachi GM is being quite humble in light of the fact that his team has gone 11-6 so far, when most predictions against them where far less favoring. A group of fans outside of the stadium on opening day expressed concerns, "It's just no our year, everyone can feel it, it's going to be bad. But we have to hold out for better days."

Thanks for the advice thorn! I will look up some guides on how to build player farms and how to work with prospects

As the new management steps in there is allot to look forward to, currently doing team assessments and there is little being held back as far as rebuilding.

"We want to be aggressive, we want to make mistakes, we plan on the first rebuilding seasons to be hard on us. However the staff, from Owner to the lowest level of scout are all on board to rebuild this team and give ourselves a new face within the IBL." - Jason Terry, New GM for the Falcons.

Looking for pitchers, starters mostly.
Anyone with a OBPS that seems impressive would be a good take.
Trying to build a very aggressive, offensive team.
Looking for a star SS and 1B.

I am new to online leagues, so if I am slow, or on the fence please give me some slack. Hope to hear from you soon.

Off-Topic / A Formal Introduction
« on: May 24, 2017, 09:10:06 PM »
Hello folks, and thank you Huckleberry to the quick action with getting me involved. I am a fresh OOTP baseball player brought onto the world of fantasy baseball through my English class this summer term, my teachers is having us read Art of Fielding, and watch money-ball, also I am doing a research paper on how statistics in baseball have increased the competitiveness of the Major Leagues.

I want to take this time to express my apologies for any mistakes I make, or for pestering folks a bit to much as I will likely have tons of questions on how to play the game. If someone would like to mentor me along to get setup, I would really appreciate that allot. Again, thank you all for the opportunity and I hope I can make Karachi_GM proud as he seemed like a dedicated guy.
