Rio 2115 trading block
« on: August 26, 2018, 09:09:01 AM »
The one-sentence-summary of my trading block is: Rio wants to compete in 2116. If I think a trade will help me open my "window" then, I'll do it.

  • I have plenty of "good" prospects, but not a ton of "great" prospects, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. I would like to package multiple "good" prospects to aquire "great" prospects.
  • I want to build some cash reserves. This can mean trading a replaceable prospect for cash or getting rid of my SP's who are still being overpaid on "legacy" contracts. SP Dhrtadhiti Indrani and SP Edward Davis. I just want to move these two. They are both on their final year and I will give you money to take them without expecting anything in return (other than the cash savings from moving their contracts). They're not doing any good if they win me games this season XD
  • SP Robinson Cordero and SP Ben Reese are also available, but I'm content to keep them around until 2116. I think I've got them on pretty reasonable contracts.
  • If I can't find a "great" SS prospect for trade, I'd like to find one with great defense and a decent bat vs. righties. For example, a Left-handed-hitting version of this guy would be nice.
  • 3B Gabriel Delvalle just finished his rookie season. I held him out of the ML level for a few weeks so he's still got the full length of team control available. I could use him in 2116, but I feel like I'll be wasting his peak playing him this season (look at those ratings vs. Righties!!!). If you've got a similar player who is a year away, yet, I'd be interested in a swap.
  • Other players at ther ML level besides the aforementioned pitchers are also available. The only one that is fully off-limits is C Sixto Ramirez.

  • If you're interested in dealing with me let me know and I can look at your system and tell you what I'd be interested in.

That shortstop has a 15 fielding rating at pitcher. Highest rating I've seen in this league. Did he not pan out as a pitcher?

Maybe at college level. I'm pretty sure I drafted him as a SS. I let him do some pitching though, too, in case that worked out. He's good enough for garbage innings at least.
