Player Change Request Rules

• Name and nationality change may be requested for your first pick in each draft only.  This request must be made before opening day of the following season. (Will allow retroactive for the 2105 draft)
• Nickname changes may only be requested during the player's first professional season, i.e., prior to the following year's draft being imported.

I will try to enact any requested changes as soon as possible but these will be lowest priority as they are not critical to gameplay.  And changes with some logic and background to them will obviously be higher priority than wanting to nickname your Rookie League catcher "Buttface."  In fact, keep them somewhat reasonable and realistic or they might not happen.

I won't be too much of a stickler for it, but I'm sure at some point somebody will cross the line.  Now that I think about it, though, given some of the facegen hiccups I've seen in the past it's entirely possible that Buttface is a reasonable nickname for someone someday.

Itbir "The Eagle" Jafari, shortstop.  Comes from Zambia; the nation's flag features an eagle.  And Jafari is terrific at swooping in on ground balls.

Asrat "Cheetah" Kifimbo, outfielder.  Blurry-fast dude from Nigeria.  If he was from Arizona he'd be "Roadrunner."  And he'd destroy any pitcher called "Coyote."

I'm probably putting WAY too much thought into this, huh?

Maybe I'm too late but if possible I'd like to make changes to my first round guy.  Currently named Rushd "Hotrod" Tuncay.  I have no idea how to pronounce that first name and I don't like the nickname.  How about changing him to Salim "Turkish Delight" Tuncay?

Made these changes, but had to choose a nearby city for both. The cities database is pretty lacking (especially considering Rawalpindi is over 3M people).

Okay, I see the cities are there in the cities database, so I'm going to try to figure out why they're not pulling up on the player info screen.

edit - Oops, I was mistaken. The Rawalpindi in the database is listed as the Indian city by the same name, although the population is way off. I'm confused now. So I looked it up and essentially OOTP has all Punjab as part of India. I'm going through and working on this. Then I found this page:

Because of the decision to implement an international tournament if at all possible when we roll to OOTP 18, I'm granting an extension on name/nationality changes for your 2107 first round draft picks. Post here if you want to change their name and country of origin. Or you can post your own thread to keep track of them more easily for your team.
