2109-10 Offseason Thread

This is the thread for all discussion of offseason activities during the 2109-2110 offseason.  This first post will be updated throughout the offseason and will also include links to other threads or amendment votes that come up during this time. We are preparing for the WBA's 11th season. Offseason sims will begin on Wednesday 9/20 and we will then proceed with the usual DAILY sims during the offseason.

Sim to 4/1/2110 is complete. Next sim is Thursday 10/12.

Offseason Sim Schedule:

Date - Sim Until - Activities before and during sim

Thursday 10/12 - 4/7/2110 - FIRST REGULAR SEASON SIM, MUST HAVE ROSTERS ORGANIZED BEFORE THIS SIM OR I MAY RUN OOTP AI AUTO-ORGANIZE, 6 day sim

Out of curiosity, when do the teams that are moving get moved? Is it when the date changes to Jan 1st?

Yes, once it rolls to the next calendar year I will make those changes.

when do contracts become guaranteed?

I think it's on the first day of the preseason. I meant to release a couple of guys but I'm on the hook for their minimum salaries now.

Shoot.  I was thinking that was first day of the regular season.  Oh well, probably not a big factor for where I'm at development wise.

So, all is cool today on rosters, but by Thursday's sim, we need to cut and reassign to correct roster sizes for each MLB and MiLB roster.  That's when major league service time starts again as well if they are on the 40-man, correct?

That is correct. Please make sure that all players on your active roster for your opening day export are on your 40-man roster.
