MELBOURNE, Australia: The Melbourne Meteors have reportedly finished with making moves this offseason. At a press conference, GM Bob Weinberg said "It's been a crazy offseason. We got Abedi, lost Dwijen, got Poe, got and lost Stone, tried for Kemboi and Karpat... there's nothing else we can do. I mean, maybe if something small comes up we would make a trade or something. But no more blockbusters, and no more free agents."
Right after this announcement, Weinberg left the room and attended the "Andy Stone Jersey Burning Ceremony". This was an event where every Meteors fan who purchased an Andy Stone jersey was given a different jersey of their choice for free. The Stone jerseys were then burnt in a huge pile. The event was filmed and sent to Stone and his agent.
