LF/RF Mitch Qiao - 7/9/8/6/7 hitter. Famed for injuries, of course, but managed to play 148 games last season with no major injuries. Asking for a 1st but willing to negotiate. Would also entertain offers for a comparably good C or 3B. Sold to Mexico City

SP Alfonso Vásquez - 9/5/7 pitcher with 4 pitches rated 8, plus a 7. Had a good season - 3.52 ERA, 2.3 WAR - and is signed for a reasonable 3.8M. Could be a very solid #2 pitcher in a low-HR park. Asking for a 2nd or C/3B but willing to negotiate. Sold to Karachi

RP Gary Chalcott - 10/9/6, great for a high-HR park. Would only move him for a comparable reliever with better control and worse movement. Maybe a 10/7/8 guy or something? DM me ideas

3B Guillermo Carvajal - 6/8/7/8/9 vs LHP, 6/7/6/7/8 vs RHP. Could start or platoon. I use him at 3B, but he has good enough defensive ratings to play 2B, LF, or RF (or 1B obviously). He's old, but has a team option in 2128, so you can keep him if he stays good and leave him if he fades. I'm only interested trading him plus picks or prospects (or the ML players on this trade block) for a younger 3B. DM me ideas.

RP Ewald Nerius - 10/7/7 reliever. ML stats have been miserable recently but he crushed it in AAA last year and is only a few years removed from a 2.83 ERA season in the majors. Looking for a fresh start in a new environment. He's worth a 2nd based on ratings, but I'll give him for a 3rd because of performance. Sold to Karachi

1B Tristan Vantassell - 7/8/8/3/5 hitter under contract for a few more years. Can pitch garbage time innings as well. Asking for a 5th or cash ($4,000,000 ish), willing to negotiate.

3B Raúl Sierra - Very good defensive 3B (11 arm, 9 rating at 3B) with a mediocre bat. Could be a defensive sub for a good team or starter for a bad team. Asking for a 3rd.

SS Roberto Reyes - A rare breed of decent bat and good defense at shortstop. Only rated a 7 there, but the 8 range does its work - he had a positive ZR at SS while hitting .270 this season in AAA. Asking for a 3rd.

RP Bill Verdier - 8/7/7 pitcher who hasn't really pitched to his ratings yet. Could be very solid with a change of scenery. Asking for a 3rd and willing to negotiate.

RP Maynard Mierisch - 9/5/7 reliever, 3 good pitches. Don't have room for him in my bullpen but he's had two consecutive very solid years in AAA (sub-3 ERA). Could let him go for a 4th.

SP Mansoor Domki - 8/6/6 pitcher with 4 good pitches (including a 9 fastball). Great year in AAA, had a 2.10 ERA and 4.6 WAR. Asking for a 4th.

RP Usman Kuchelai - 8/5/8 reliever who could possibly start. 1.47 ERA and 0.68 WHIP in AAA last year. Could play in the pros for a team with a HR-unfriendly park. Asking for a 3rd, willing to negotiate.

CF Matias Berfort - Meh hitter, elite defense in all 3 outfield spots. 9/8/8 OF fielding ratings. Asking for a 4th.

CF Bang-xao Fung - Same as Berfort just slightly worse. Asking for a 5th.

----------------------------------------
Below this line are players who are FREE. Seriously, if you want them, post a trade where you get them and I get $1. First come first served.

3B Guda Baloch - 7/7/8/5/7 hitter vs LHP with deceptively good defense. One year left on an expensive contract (hence why I'm giving him away) but could be helpful on a young, cheap team trying to compete. Sold to Paris

SP Shafi Khaskheli - Why pay for an 8/6/6 pitcher in free agency when you could get one for free here? A great candidate for a bounceback year. Had a few down years in a row, but not far removed from being a productive ML pitcher. Has also had bad BABIP luck for a few years in a row. Could be very good with league-average luck and a decent infield defense.

I'm interested in acquiring a good catcher. I can trade Chalcott plus one of the following 3-star prospects - Richard Jewel, Brad Jacobson, or Carsten Lampl - if the offer is right. Possibly could also add a pick.

As always, anyone else on my team is movable for the right offer. I'm always open to ideas.

Update #3: 2126 Draft

The 2126 draft pool has been published, and you know what that means - time for another update! It's been a while since the last one, and a lot has happened. 27 (!) more pitchers with a potential changeup of 6+ have begun developing, including 7 getting to a current rating of 3. This is the 2125 draft's first big update, understandably, with the 2nd and 3rd overall picks - Tokyo's William Scurrah and Phoenix's Beau Fletcher - each seeing some development. This brings the total number of players who've developed to 66. We also saw our first 8-rated changeup - Rio's Pedro Gonzáles - as well as a few 7s. 66 total players have now seen some development.

Of the 111 players who made up my original list, 52 of them have seen some development, a rate of 46.8% (much higher than I originally thought). 6 have developed to a current rating of 6 or higher (5.4%) and 3 have fully reached their potential (2.7%), but of course, that rate could increase by a lot as the players fully develop.

Now, on to the 2126 draft class! 162 players in this class have a current changeup of 1, but only 30 of them have a potential of 6 or higher. One is potential top pick José López, who's one of the biggest risks in WBA draft history, with a 1/11 changeup. There's also 6 3-star potential SP and 3 2.5-star potential SP. (This list includes players of all positions, but for whatever reason, all of the highest potential players on the list tend to be starters. This is true even of the initial development class, which has 8 players of 3.5-star or higher potential, all of whom were drafted as starters.)

Another note: Last update I mentioned that two players had developed out of the blue, with massive increases in their potential changeup as well as their current changeup. That was at the beginning of the 2126 season, which is now coming to an end, yet nobody else has done that. My current working theory is that it's an offseason thing - both of those guys had their insane development boost in December, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for that over the next few months.

Finally, as per Rome's request, here's some data about age at the time of being drafted. Of the 66 players whose changeup has begun developing, 65 of them were drafted. (shoutout to undrafted pitcher António Marquis, who has 2 movement and 3 control, but a nicely-developing changeup). 37 of those 65 were in high school - 17 or 18 years old - for a rate of 56.9%. (That took me FOREVER to figure out, by the way, spreadsheet magic!) I don't know how valuable that is on its own, though, without knowing how many of those who didn't develop were high-school age. So I've decided to keep track of the 2126 draft class separately (they'll still be included in overall data, but this will be an additional analysis) and track their age on draft day compared with how well their changeup develops. We'll start to see data from that with my next update. As a side note, if you want specific data tracked, ask in Slack and I'll do my best.

Currently planning to do two updates per season, one around opening day and one when the draft class is published. Possibly also others if I get bored.

WBA Times / What's At Stake: Week of 9/16/26
« on: October 01, 2020, 02:19:48 PM »
With only 12 games left in the regular season, this week features some hugely important series in both leagues. Division titles, wild card races, and ladder tournament positions could all be determined this sim.

In the ABL, the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars look to extend their lead on the Northwest Emeralds for the #1 overall seed. Rio currently is one game ahead of Northwest, but will play the Phoenix Burros and Puerto Rico Coqui, two relatively weak teams. Northwest's schedule this week is also fairly easy, with matchups against the Mexico City Aztecs and Los Angeles Stars. Either team could stumble, but it's Rio's #1 seed to lose.

The Latin American division title is also very much up for grabs. The Havana Dolphins sit just 2 games behind Rio. They'll match up with Puerto Rico and the São Paulo Toucans. Given Rio's easy schedule, it's unlikely that Havana will gain much ground, but they'll need to perform well to have a chance at the division in the final week.

But of course, the most important race in the ABL is for the second wild card spot. The Santo Domingo Palmchats currently have that spot, just one game ahead of São Paulo - who they happen to play this week. Santo Domingo's other series is against the unthreatening Edmonton Trappers, while São Paulo plays Havana, meaning that the Toucans absolutely need to win their series with Santo Domingo. Neither team will clinch this week, but the Palmchats can come very close with a good showing.

Also, Mexico City will officially be eliminated from playoff contention this week, barring a miracle or two. At 11 games back, they were functionally eliminated weeks ago, but tonight will make it official.

If the ABL's playoff picture looks all too familiar - Rio, Havana, Northwest, and one of Santo Domingo or São Paulo, like it is every year - the IBL's features some new faces. But first, we'll look at the battle between the Cairo Pharaohs and Mumbai Cobras for the #1 seed. The Pharaohs and Cobras are currently tied at 96-48 (an impressive record with 12 games still to play, and a full 11 games ahead of the best ABL record). Cairo will be facing the Ljubljana Dragons, while Mumbai plays the Melbourne Meteors, before the two giants face off against each other. Ljubljana and Melbourne are both good but beatable teams, who could win a series against Cairo/Mumbai, but could just as feasibly get swept. In all likelihood, a sweep in the Cairo vs Mumbai series would decide the #1 seed, but a 2-1 series victory would probably leave some doubt heading into the final week.

Now, to the IBL wild card. The Manila Folders currently sit in the first wild-card spot, 5 games ahead of WC2 and 8 games clear of the first non-playoff team. They can clinch their playoff spot tonight, although they're already almost guaranteed to make the playoffs. Manila will play the Tokyo Shogun (probably the worst team in the IBL) and the Melbourne Meteors, and should clinch the first wild-card spot without a problem.

The second wild-card spot is more interesting. Melbourne has a 3-game lead over the Rome Generals, but Melbourne will be playing Mumbai and Manila, while Rome will face the Black Forest Foxes and Ljubljana Dragons. Melbourne could prove they're a playoff team with two good series tonight, or fall into a tie with Rome with two bad ones.

On the fringes, Black Forest is 5 games behind Melbourne, and Ljubljana is 6 back. A five-game lead with 12 to play is fairly close to insurmountable, yet stranger things have happened. Black Forest would probably need two sweeps tonight, against Rome and the Paris Fleur-de-Lis, but that's certainly possible. Ljubljana would also need two sweeps, but with a matchup against Cairo, that's probably not going to happen.

And finally, let's look at the best-case and worst-case scenarios for each team at the conclusion of this sim. These are not the best or worst situations mathematically possible, but the best or worst situations that could realistically occur (in this writer's opinion) after this sim.

Rio - Best case: 6-0 sim, Northwest goes 2-4, essentially guaranteeing the #1 seed. Worst case: 3-3 sim, Northwest goes 6-0, Havana goes 6-0, putting Rio in the first wild-card spot.

Northwest - Best case: 6-0 sim, Rio goes 3-3, Havana goes 2-4, putting NW in the #1 spot by 2 games. Worst case: 2-4 sim, Rio goes 6-0, essentially locking NW into the #2 seed as division winner.

Havana - Best case: 6-0 sim, Rio goes 3-3, Northwest goes 2-4, putting Havana as Latin division leaders and #1 seed by 1 game. Worst case: 1-5 sim, São Paulo goes 6-0, Santo Domingo goes 3-3, putting Havana tied for WC1 and 2 games ahead of the first non-playoff team.

Santo Domingo - Best case: 6-0 sim, São Paulo goes 0-6, Havana goes 4-2, putting SD solidly in the second wild card with an outside shot at the first. Worst case: 2-4 sim including getting swept by São Paulo, who goes 6-0, knocking SD 3 games out of the wild card.

São Paulo - Best case: 6-0 sim, Santo Domingo goes 2-4, Havana goes 2-4, putting SP into the second wild card (only one game behind Havana) and 3 games ahead of SD. Worst case: 0-6 sim, regardless of anything else, would end SP's playoff hopes.

Cairo - Best case: 6-0 sim basically guarantees the #1 seed. Worst case: 1-5 sim, including getting swept by Mumbai, basically guarantees the #2 seed.

Mumbai - Best case: 6-0 sim basically guarantees the #1 seed. Worst case: 1-5 sim, including getting swept by Cairo, basically guarantees the #2 seed. (yes, I copy-pasted the info for Cairo. They're in very similar situations.)

Manila - Best case: 6-0 sim (or really, anything other than being swept by Melbourne) should guarantee the first wild card. Worst case: It's almost impossible to conceive of a situation in which Manila hasn't clinched at least a playoff spot after this sim, but theoretically if they go 1-5 (including a series loss to Tokyo, highly unlikely) Melbourne could conceivably catch them.

Melbourne - Best case: 5-1 sim, including a sweep of Manila, and Rome loses each of its series 2-1, putting Melbourne within striking distance of WC1 and safely in the playoffs. Worst case: 0-6 sim, Rome goes 6-0, putting Melbourne 3 games outside of WC2 with a week to play.

Rome - Best case: 6-0 sim, Melbourne goes 0-6, putting Rome in WC2 by 3 games. Worst case: 0-6 sim, Melbourne goes 5-1, essentially eliminating the Generals.

Black Forest - Best case: 6-0 sim, Melbourne goes 0-6, Rome goes 0-6, Ljubljana sweeps Rome but is swept by Cairo, putting the Foxes in WC1 by one game. Worst case: anything better than 2-4 from Melbourne, or anything other than the Foxes sweeping Rome, would pretty much eliminate Black Forest.

Ljubljana - Sad to say, but I think the Dragons' unlikely run ends here. They'd need to sweep Cairo, as well as a bunch of other unlikely stuff happening, just to stay alive. I don't see it.

WBA Times / Re: Changeup Development Report
« on: August 28, 2020, 06:49:12 PM »
Update #2: (one sim before) Opening Day 2126

Since our last update, 9 more pitchers with a potential changeup of at least 6 have begun developing. 8 of them improved to 2, one improved to 3. Interestingly, only 3 of them were from the 2125 draft, with the others coming from 2123 and 2124. The only truly notable one is Mexico City's 2125 first rounder Ademar Breia, who has 3 other pitches anyway. I'm keeping a close eye on Scurrah, though.

Of the 135 players who have ever been on my list, 39 of them have had some development, for a rate of 28.9%. Of the 111 who made up my initial list, 36 had some development, a rate of 32.4%. I'd expect that rate to start plateauing at some point, but not for a few more years. We also have 2 more players reach a 5-rated changeup - Rio's Pedro Gonzáles and Tokyo's Pierre Thirion.

Below is a table of the developed and undeveloped players by age. Interestingly, there seems to be a correlation, but not the one we'd expect - older and younger players are less likely to develop, while those in the middle are more. Evidently, once you make it to a certain age, you probably won't be doing much developing.

Age               25     24     23        22   21       20   19     18      17
Developed     2.56  10.26     20.51   7.69   17.95    28.21   10.26  2.56  0.00
Undeveloped 3.13   12.50    22.92   17.71   10.42    11.46   13.54  7.29  1.04

Finally, I'd like to point out a really interesting thing I noticed. Whenever I refer to my lists of players, I'm always talking about players who started with a current changeup of 1 and a potential changeup above 6. I have a shortlist of all pitchers with a current changeup of 1, but I never really check it, I just use it for storage so it's easier to add players to the right lists. Some players on there have developed to 2, 3, or 4, and I really didn't bother checking the percentages because nobody cares about a changeup if its potential isn't at least 6. (I'll do the calculations if people want to see them, I just don't think anyone will!) But two pitchers in particular from that list had something really interesting happen to them. Northwest's Carl Taylor had his changeup, and changeup potential, increase from 1 to 7 - in one day - and then from 7 to 8. Ljubljana's Abhramu Gurudutt had the exact same thing - an increase of both current and potential from 1 to 7 overnight, and eventually to 8. I have no idea what caused this. The developments happened within a week of each other - December 3rd and December 10th, 2125 - during the offseason. Neither pitcher will amount to anything - Gurudutt's potential is 8/5/5, Taylor's is 6/2/3, so we won't be seeing much of them in the majors even with this massive changeup improvement. I really have no ideas, so if you have any, please tell me! Maybe they're just good friends with Honorio Paquete.

I'll do another one of these eventually. Maybe during the season, certainly when the 2126 draft class gets published.

Post-It Block (you can post any of these offers as a completed deal, I'll confirm them - or feel free to negotiate in Slack)

SP/RP Antoine Jean - good lefty specialist RP, also can start. 8/6/9 as a RP, 7/6/9 as a SP. Post it - 3rd rounder
Sold to Northwest

SP/RP Ronman Leyretana - 9/7/6 as RP, 8/7/6 as SP, with 3 excellent pitches. Post it - 3rd rounder
Sold to Northwest

2B/SS Christopher Grotefend - 7/7/3/5/8 with decent defense at short, good at 2B. Good platoon option (7/8/4/5/9 vs LHP). Post it - 3rd rounder

SP Shafi Khaskheli - 8/7/8, 3 pitches at 7/9/9. Should be really good. Post it - 1st (from a good team) or 2nd (from a bad team)

1B Daniel Escobal - Plus power, meh contact (but still hit .318 in AAA). Post it - 5th Sold to Carolina

C Brandon Crabb - Good all-around hitter, stats aren't quite living up to ratings. Post it - 5th Sold to Rio

Also beginning to take offers on 3B Guda Baloch and 1Bs Tristan Vantassell (who I irrationally love far more than I should and will probably never trade even if I get an amazing offer) and Gunadhara Upanishad.

Update #1
As the 2125 Draft Class has been published, it's time to update the development report! Let's start with the new class:
There are 150 players in this class who are 23 years old or younger and have a changeup currently rated 1. Of those, 28 have a potential changeup of 6 or higher. Obviously none of those have developed yet, but they're now on the list.

Now, on to the players we've been looking at:
4 players have been removed from the list because their changeup potential dropped below 6 (in some cases, to 3). 4 others aged out of the list. One (Alberto Vásquez) saw development in his changeup, leaving 87 players currently 23 or younger with a 1/6+ changeup.

In total, 31 of the initial 109 (somehow I lost two) players have seen at least some development, bringing the rate up to 28.4%. More significantly, though, this update will see the first time a pitcher's changeup has become a usable pitch. I'm defining "usable" as 5 or higher, and two pitchers saw their changeup get from 1 to 5 - Rodney Litchfield and Luo-shan Wu, both prospects for Black Forest. Somebody ask Coop what he's doing, because it's working.

Just so Jake will leave me alone, here's some interesting results by age: Of the 31 whose changeup developed, there doesn't seem to be much of a correlation between age and success. Some are 24 now, others are 18 or 19. Litchfield is 21, Wu is 19, one of the 4s is 23. But that changes when we look at the percentages. Note that all of these numbers are using the list before adding the new draft class, since that would skew it (those players haven't had a chance to develop yet). Here are the results (numbers shown are percentages):
Age                   24        23   22           21           20           19           18
Developed    6.45        16.13   22.58   12.90   19.35   19.35   3.23
Undeveloped   10.26     21.79   17.95   16.67   15.38   16.67   1.28
The differences are subtle but definitely there. Older players tended to develop slightly less frequently, while younger players tend to do a little better.

That's it for today! Some good news for anyone thinking of taking one of these pitchers with a 1 changeup early in the draft.

As has been pointed out, Guillou probably will not develop his changeup. He's still got 9/8/8 pitches.

SP Antoine Jean - A decent starter (8/6/9) or a lefty bullpen arm if you need a specialist. Price - 4th rounder.
SP Shafi Khaskheli - I just traded for him but would be open to moving him to a contender. Price - 3rd rounder.
SP/RP Teddy Guillou - 9/7/6 with pitches at 9/8/8. Could develop a changeup to be a great starter. Price - 3rd rounder.
LF Javier Quezada - Should be a good hitter. If you have a LF who's prone to injuries, Quezada is a nice backup. Contract obviously sucks but it's only for this year. Price - 5th rounder.
1B/LF Gah-fat Chen - Atrocious fielder with a really nice bat. If we ever get a DH he'll be a steal. Price - 4th rounder
OF Bang-xao Fung - Meh bat, very good fielder, nice utility OF option. 8 in center. Price - 4th rounder.
RP Maynard Mierisch - Has 3 pitches, probably could start, but is a really good reliever. Price - 4th rounder.

Anyone else on my AAA roster can be had for the right price except for Hattangady. Make an offer!

Please put Koushika as #2 SP. If my export doesn't go through, demote Jean to AAA and move Perez to bullpen, then AI the bullpen.

Sure. Not sure if you can do one-year retentions so Coop can just send me whatever $ it would be.

Please put Khaskheli in the #3 slot. I will leave a spot open. If for some reason my export doesn't go through, demote Norberto Duff and Weiner Basler from AAA to AA and demote Craig Mackenzie to AAA to make room, then ask AI for the AAA and AA pitching staffs. Make Alfonso Vasquez middle relief, secondary role emergency SP.

WBA Times / Changeup Development Report
« on: July 19, 2020, 01:11:14 PM »
A few months ago, I decided to make a list of every player in the WBA universe who had an undeveloped changeup. The criteria were: the current changeup rating had to be 1, the potential changeup rating had to be at least 6, and the player's age had to be 23 or below. There were 111 total players who met this criteria, listed below (just kidding).

This list was made around January 2125, and since then, at least one or two changeups have developed in almost every sim. The most was during spring training, but we've had several developments per sim during the season as well. Since this will naturally change over time, I'll post semi-regular updates to this report, but here are the first round of results:

Of the 111 players on this list, 23 of them have had some development in their changeup, or 20.7%. This is not a large number, but it's certainly higher than what I had expected, which would have been somewhere around 5%. The best performer has been Black Forest prospect Rodney Litchfield, whose changeup increased to 4/10. 4 other players saw their changeups increase to 3: Luo-shan Wu, Pedro Gonzáles, Kolomon Ziblat, and Andy White, while 18 others increased to 2. There seems to be no correlation between likelihood of development and skill, as some good prospects (as well as several terrible prospects) were among those that developed. I can send the full list via Slack to anyone interested.

Trade Blocks and Discussions / Melbourne has too many shortstops!
« on: July 07, 2020, 09:46:38 PM »
In our never-ending quest to find someone who can play shortstop passably while hitting well, we here in Melbourne may have been overzealous in trading for shortstops who are arguably major-league caliber. None of these players will ever be all-stars, but if you're looking for added depth, they are all potentially worthy backups.

Roberto Reyes - A good fielder, with a rating of 7 at SS and 8 at 3B, Reyes can also hit somewhat, with a contact rating of 6. Hit .340 in 21 games in Cairo, then .179 in 31 games in Melbourne; take a chance that he'll be closer to the .340 form as a backup or defensive sub for your team.

Nabibukhsh Taqi - Not the best hitter, but a good defender (9/5/9/7, 7 at SS) with good baserunning abilities (4/10/10). 5 contact vs RHP, could be used as a pinch-runner or defensive sub.

Martín Díaz - More of a FSSL type, Díaz won't hit many HRs but has good contact and avoid Ks. His strength is his defense - at 8/8/8/8, he can play any infield position, and at 6/7/6, he'd be a decent outfielder. Currently rated 9 at 2B, 7 at SS and 3B, and 4 at LF. Use as a utility backup infielder to free up roster space.

Fraser Reive - With a 6/8/6/7/8, Reive could probably start vs LHP. He's not the greatest fielder but is a decent baserunner, and could be a helpful platoon option at SS. Also plays 2B with a rating of 7.

Kolomon Eberhardt - He's a bad hitter, I'm not sugarcoating it. But at 9/10/10/10, he's one of the best fielders in the sim. Currently rated 10 at 2B and SS, Eberhardt could be a 10 at 3B too with some time in AAA, or could be a super-defensive sub immediately. If you lose games due to errors, bring Eberhardt in once you have a lead.

Dhuna Probal - Probably the best hitter on this list, at least vs RHP. 6/9/4/6/6 vs RHP, 9/9/5 baserunning, 6/5/8/6 defense. A good platoon option (don't start him against lefties).

Any of these players can be yours for a 4th, or any 2 for a 3rd (Probal/Reive would be a good platoon). Message me on Slack to negotiate.

SP Alfonso Vásquez - Had a down year in 2124 but was very good in 2122 and 2123 with the same ratings. Good candidate for a bounceback year.

RP Maynard Mierisch - 9/5/7 with 3 good pitches. Low movement means he's not for everyone, but could thrive in a low-HR ballpark.

SS Roberto Reyes - A shortstop with decent contact and good fielding. Good platoon candidate.

SS Dhuna Probal - Very good hitter vs RHP, excellent platoon candidate. Reyes and Probal platooned for me last year, and they could both go in a package.

Side note - I have a lot (a LOT) of 2.5 star shortstops and if you need a glove wizard with a decent bat or any other type of mediocre SS just ask!

OF Bang-xao Fung - An interesting backup OF, Fung is a decent hitter (especially vs LHP) and an excellent fielder, at 9/7/7 he currently is 8 at CF and 9 at RF. Some time in AAA would easily let him get to 9 at LF too. He's also fast, with 9/9/9 baserunning ratings, and could be a cheap and helpful defensive sub/fourth OF/pinch runner.

LF Javier Quezada - Excellent hitter, mediocre fielder. Yours for a 4th round pick.

Anyone else can be had for the right price. Only Hung-K'uei He is truly untouchable, and I'd be open to deals involving some of my good SP prospects for good infield prospects.
