Mumbai Proposes New Rule: No more Left-Handed Pitchers

It's not April 1st, so people don't quite know what to make of manager AP MP's comment (captured on video, secretly, by a fan late last night) that the Mumbai brass were going to make a push in the upcoming owner's meeting to ban Left-Handed Pitchers from the IBL.

"They're the devil to our offense...the ABL can have them, and ownership agrees," grumbled the longtime Mumbai skipper. "Sure, bin Fath is a great kid and has a chance to be our first homegrown pitching star, but Virendra was a disappointment.  And did you see our bats go silent against Black Forest?!"

Crazier things have happened, but in this humble reporter's opinion, the chances of this rule change going through are about as high as Santo Domingo's chances of taking the WBA crown next year.

In a related development, Black Forest is shopping for more lefthanded pitchers.  Having only three lefties in the starting rotation is clearly not enough.
