Paris catcher Hasamukha Mathrubootham helped his team beat the Puerto Rico Coqui, 7-6. Mathrubootham, the 7th overall pick in the 1928 draft, went 1 for 3 for the Fleur-de-Lis. The win lifted the Paris record to 74-66.

Virisimo Zegri was the walk-off hero for Paris. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fleur-de-Lis left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Mathrubootham said.
