Falcons Stumble, Lose to Cobras
|
Starting pitcher Hyat Niazi was a major factor in the 8-1 Mumbai Cobras triumph over the Karachi Falcons. The winning pitcher was Niazi, now 2-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. Mumbai raised its record to 24-18 with the win.
Mumbai catcher Fu Tsao landed a blow when he socked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. It was his 2nd home run of the season. With it, the Cobras took a 3-1 lead.
"Hyat -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Cobras manager AP MP. "He was the key to us winning."
