|
Paris picked up a win at The Colosseum, bumping off the Rome Generals, 5-4. Pitcher Éric Sanchez was a major reason the Fleur-de-Lis emerged victorious. Sanchez, now 8-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Andrei Uborevich notched his 18th save in 21 chances.
It could have been a different outcome for Paris, had it not been for Guda Baloch, the three-time Defender of the Year Award winner . Baloch contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Paris up, 4-0.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Baloch.
The triumph puts Paris at 35-31 for the season.
