Big Day for Schiff in 6-1 Generals Win
|
The Rome Generals defeated the Mumbai Cobras, 6-1. Doing his part was left fielder Erik Schiff, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the victory, the Generals upped their record to 41-37.
Schiff had a key at-bat for Rome early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and gave Rome an early 3-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Schiff told the Rome Daily.
