The Mumbai Cobras went home winners at Cobras Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Mario Coronel. Coronel stifled the São Paulo Toucans, enabling Mumbai to grab the 8-1 win. The 13th-place Cobras improved to 25-32.

Kamil Tarif was a prime factor in the win for the Cobras. In the bottom of the fourth with one out, the 28-year old catcher hit a run-scoring single. He was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Tarif.
