Karachi Draws Blanks Against Cheng
Wen-zhong Cheng led the Manila Folders to a 11-0 shutout victory over the Karachi Falcons at Douglas MacArthur Memorial Field today.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Cheng recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Cheng yielded 4 hits and had 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Karachi manager Slu Baseball said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

This season Cheng has 16 wins and 6 losses and a 3.28 ERA.
