Starting pitcher Vicente Deleón was a major factor in the 2-1 Santo Domingo Palmchats triumph over the Ottawa Whiskey Jacks. Santo Domingo reliever Fei-hsien Lau was the winner. His record is now 4-2. Mike Wilcox took the loss. Alejandro García earned his 6th save in 8 chances.
Santo Domingo took control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 2nd, Ramiro Navarro hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Palmchats.
"I was a little disappointed," said Ottawa manager R Beadle. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
With the win, Santo Domingo pushed its record to 57-33.
