Mexico City Aztecs starter Jorge Diaz turned in a sterling performance against the Melbourne Meteors, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Miguel Jaime was credited with the save, his 5th in 13 tries. Mexico City bumps their record to 38-45 with the win.

It could have been a different outcome for Mexico City, had it not been for Eetu Harju, the 30-year old right fielder . Harju contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Mexico City up, 3-2.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Melbourne skipper Melbourne Meteors.
