Kagunda, Rio de Janeiro Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Rio de Janeiro starter Sissay Kagunda put a stranglehold on the New York City offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Jaguars to a 2-1 win. The Jaguars bumped their record to 72-59 with this latest triumph.
Kagunda, now 12-10, scattered 5 hits over 9 innings for the Jaguars.
"We'll savor this win," Kagunda told the Rio de Janeiro Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
