The São Paulo Toucans beat the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 4-2. São Paulo pitcher and Gaeta, Italy, native Vitale Battllori led the way. Battllori picked up the win for São Paulo, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 12-10. Frank Torres got the save, his 10th in 12 chances.

São Paulo used the timely hitting of Mohan Pankharia to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toucans on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
