Khawaja of Florence Player of the Week Monday, June 26th, 1939 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Sulaiman Khawaja was rewarded with the FSSL Triple A Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Florence Centurions center fielder hit .458 while collecting 11 hits in 24 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs. To date this year Khawaja is batting .290 with 5 home runs. |
