FAA Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 31st, 1939 27-year-old Patrick Pélissier made a few Puebla headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and FSSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 13 at-bats to put up a .769 average. Pélissier collected no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Pélissier is hitting .384, produced 38 RBIs and 3 home runs, scored 40 times and gotten on base at a .435 rate. |
