FAA Pitcher of the Month Goes to bin Wazir Friday, September 1st, 1939 There was little doubt around the FSSL Double A that Omar bin Wazir would be awarded Pitcher of the Month honors for August. Today, they made it official, naming the 29-year-old Carolina Coqui starter the latest honoree. He thoroughly dominated the hitters who stood in against him, holding them to a .240 batting average while fashioning a 2.86 ERA in 6 starts. His record for the month was 5-1 in 34.2 innings of work. Through the years bin Wazir has fashioned a 22-22 mark, 3.53 ERA and thrown 379.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .255 lifetime against him and he has logged 160 career strikeouts. |
