Great Day for Fujita -- 5 Hits Thursday, April 27th, 1939 Amdavad second baseman Toichi Fujita had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Lille Fleur-de-Lis at Fleur-de-Lis Ballpark as the Vipers picked up a 11-4 victory. "He was patient up there today," Amdavad skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Fujita has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Toichi Fujita singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This season Fujita is batting .410 with 43 hits, 3 home runs, 21 RBIs, .447 OBP and has scored 23 runs. |
