Week's Top Performer Honored by FR Monday, April 24th, 1939 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the FSSL Rookie League, but last week Yahiya Lekimeju of the Guelph Royals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Lekimeju rocked opposing pitching for a .478 average (11-for-23), no home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. Currently Lekimeju is batting .333 with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
