FR Votes Royals Vargas Top Player Monday, July 31st, 1939 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Eduardo Vargas was rewarded with the FSSL Rookie League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Guelph Royals center fielder hit .520 while collecting 13 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs. This season Vargas has no home runs and a .290 batting average. |
