Foxes Beat Visiting Voyageurs, 3-2
|
The Black Forest Foxes got a marvelous performance from pitcher Yin-reng Chin. The left-hander kept the Oslo offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Black Forest victory at The Den. Scott Merritt sewed up the save, his 5th. Oslo, with the loss, is still a stout 9-4.
Darge Ibada hit a 2-run home run off Eric Lamb in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Foxes ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Ibada had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"That's baseball," said Oslo manager Marq Ualler. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
