Los Angeles beat El Paso at Field of the Stars, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Jesús Sosa. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was Sebastian Sporsheim, his 2nd. The Thunderbirds drop to 6-8, as their stumbling start to the 2151 season continues.

Yunes Chekhemani had a big 2-run double for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Xiao-xuan Wu and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 3-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Sosa told the Los Angeles Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
