Generals Deal Fleur-de-Lis 1-0 Loss
|
The Colosseum played host to some high drama.
Paris got a terrific performance from pitcher La`nh Vu, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rome Generals. Rome won the The Colosseum contest, 1-0. Vu threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Rome reliever Cornélio Tender picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Reynante Daquigan was saddled with the loss.
Rome got a knockout punch from Jean-Michel Martinez. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We did just enough to win," Martinez said.
Paris, at 4-11, is off to a poor start in 2149.
