Foxes Capture Close Win

The Black Forest Foxes did just enough to sneak past the Daegu Monks, 5-4, at The Den. Black Forest first baseman Darge Ibada, in particular, had a standout performance. The win belonged to Scott Merritt in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Clemenz Knauss took the loss for Daegu. Black Forest, now 6-9, is off to a slow start.
Ibada had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The Foxes went on to win.
"We were the better team," crowed Ibada.
