4-2 Loss Extends Detroit Losing Streak
The Santo Domingo Palmchats picked up a win at Estadio Santo Domingo, knocking off the Detroit Blue Gills, 4-2. Starting pitcher Gia-Long Hoang played a key role in the triumph. Picking up his 1st save was three-time All-Star Alberto López. Santo Domingo is now 13-6.

Thibaud Mary had a big 2-run triple for the Palmchats in the bottom of the first inning. With Santo Domingo leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Yoshinori Matsushita and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Palmchats ahead, 4-0.

Mary attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
