Emperors Earn 6-2 Home Win
|
The Beijing Emperors topped the Tokyo Fitzies, 6-2, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at The Bird's Nest. The standout performance belonged to Beijing pitcher and Aberdeen, Scotland, native Kyle Miller. Suezo Watanabe snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Anuhlada Phadkar suffered the loss. The victory makes Beijing 2-1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Beijing third baseman Jaromir Cermaka gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Dingus hit his 1st double of the year. Tokyo pitcher Anuhlada Phadkar surrendered it. With that, the Emperors jumped in front, 2-1.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Beijing manager Kev In.
