Watterson Fires 3-0 Shutout for Las Tunas
Kerwin Watterson subdued the Oakland Stars, 3-0, pitching a 6-hit gem for the Las Tunas Lenadores at Stars Ballpark.

"He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Las Tunas skipper said.

Watterson registered 5 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance.

"We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Oakland manager after the defeat.

Thus far this season, Watterson has worked 37.2 innings with 38 strikeouts en route to a 2-1 record and a 1.67 ERA.
