Jaguars Suffer 5-1 Setback
Pitcher Pavlya Lazarenko was sensational for the Santo Domingo Palmchats in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars. Lazarenko earned the win. With the win, Santo Domingo upped its record to 20-12.

The Palmchats got a big at-bat from right fielder Carl Carter. For the game, Carter went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Santo Domingo a 3-1 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Lazarenko told the Santo Domingo Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
