Falcons Prevail, 6-4, Over Tokyo
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Karachi Falcons and Tokyo Fitzies.
The performance of Montae Ricco proved critical in helping Karachi beat Tokyo, 6-4. The Falcons center fielder was 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Husien Karamera, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 2-2.
With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the sixth, Ricco had a key at-bat for Karachi. With a runner on 3rd, Ricco hit a run-scoring single off Sunil Chander, making the score 5-4, Falcons.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Ricco.
The triumph puts Karachi at 18-14 for the season.
