Salazar Now 3-1 After Subduing Coqui
|
Sao Paulo Toucans pitcher Miguel Salazar was in fine form, leading his team past the Puerto Rico Coqui, 2-0. The win for the Toucans raised their record to 17-17.
Salazar's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 9 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 4 hits. Salazar, who is tied for 7th in the ABL with a 2.33 ERA, goes to 3-1 on the year with 40 strikeouts.
"All in all, I thought Miguel pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Sao Paulo manager Casey Blake DeWitt.
