Mexico City right fielder Cheol-min Yu contributed significantly to his team's 8-4 win over the El Paso Thunderbirds. Yu, who finished 5th in the IBL in wins above replacement with 5.8 in 2147, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aztecs. The win makes Mexico City 38-41.

Jaffar Gul had a big bases-clearing double for the Aztecs in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Mexico City leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Tien Dung Long, who leads the ABL in complete games with 4, and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aztecs ahead, 8-4.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Mexico City manager Square Drive.
