Abdul-Wahhab bin Idris powered the Karachi Falcons to a win over the Melbourne Meteors. The final score was 8-3. The Karachi left fielder, who is tied for 10th in the IBL in doubles with 20, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. Amrus Mtembei picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-6. He struck out 4 in 8 innings. Karachi has a record of 39-42, placing them 4th in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Afzul Khan had a big bases-clearing double for the Falcons in the bottom of the second inning. With Karachi leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a circle change from Borya Jevakhov, who leads the IBL with a 8.8 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Falcons ahead, 4-0.

"Abdul-Wahhab was ready to go. Big day for him," said Karachi manager Slu Baseball.
