Thao Trung knocked in all 4 runs for the El Paso Thunderbirds, helping them beat the Los Angeles Stars, 4-2. The win belonged to Timothy Adamczak in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Sebastian Sporsheim took the loss for Los Angeles. The Thunderbirds move to 42-40 with the win, while the Stars drop to 42-40.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With El Paso trailing 2-1, Trung jumped on a fastball from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Sebastian Sporsheim and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Thunderbirds had a walk-off win.
"Was I getting worried?" said Thunderbirds manager AP MP. "Nope." Then he added, with a wink, "There was never a doubt in my mind."
