Falcons Defeated, 3-2, After Beijing Rallies

Beijing right-hander Dharmendra Sarmad pitched his team to victory over the Karachi Falcons at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium. The final score was 3-2. In 7 innings, Sarmad surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. Tom Davis earned his 26th save, after closing out the game.
Beijing needed the clutch hitting of She Feng to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Emperors on top, 3-1. For the game, Feng had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were in it," said Karachi manager Slu Baseball. "We just didn't score enough runs."
The triumph puts Beijing at 48-36 for the season.
