Nairobi Black Rhinos pitcher David Numbers was in fine form, leading his team past the Melbourne Meteors, 7-1. Numbers went the distance for Nairobi. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. At 41-48, the Black Rhinos are currently third in the Intercontinental Baseball League Afro-European Division.

Nairobi used a well-timed hit by Abbas Karani to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Black Rhinos ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Bob Meteors.
