The Melbourne Meteors picked up a win at Meteor Crater, knocking off the Beijing Emperors, 6-3. Starting pitcher Bao-tian Li was a big reason why. Matt Gentry got the save, the 13th for him this season. At 42-47, Melbourne is in 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Danny Thomas, who led the ABL in doubles with 50 last year, contributed to the Melbourne win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"Bao-tian was pumping the zone," said Melbourne manager Bob Meteors.
