Mariano Segura, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in quality starts with 11, had a strong outing for the Sao Paulo Toucans against the Puerto Rico Coqui at Ballpark of San Juan. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. The win makes Sao Paulo 51-41.
Sao Paulo used a clutch at-bat from Peter Tighe to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Toucans ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tighe told the Sao Paulo Citizen.
