Falcons Get Dramatic 2-1 Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Karachi Falcons and the Tokyo Fitzies, pitcher Heherson Bongolan was fantastic. The Karachi right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-1. Adrian Dean picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Mayne Rippon, who finished 2nd in the ABL in wins with 17 in 2148, was tagged with the loss. Karachi, at 44-48, holds down 4th place in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Karachi trailing 1-0, Rafael Leeder hit a cutter from Alastair Bacon to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Falcons had a walk-off win.
Said Leeder: "What's not to like about a walk-off win?"
