The Melbourne Meteors took Karachi pitcher Gilg Koch's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium. The final score had Melbourne getting past the Falcons, 6-4. Koch went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 3. Ismael Mata earned his 7th save in 10 chances. Melbourne is now 41-52.

James Weatherhead provided a timely hit. The Melbourne pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Meteors on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Weatherhead, "one at-bat at a time."
