Tokyo 10-3 Victors at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium
|
The Tokyo Fitzies picked up a win at Muhammad Ali Jinnah Stadium, knocking off the Karachi Falcons, 10-3. Starting pitcher Wendel Lippelt was a big reason why. Tokyo is last in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division with a record of 39-54.
Yulian Basatin had a big 2-run double for the Fitzies in the top of the fourth inning. With Tokyo leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Folco Maini and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fitzies ahead, 3-0.
"All in all, I thought Wendel pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Tokyo manager .
