Foxes Lose to Beijing, 10-6
|
Black Forest third baseman Hohepa Keolakupaianaha was sensational. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Beijing beat the Foxes, 10-6. Wei-fang Cheng was the winner. He's now 8-6. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Edward Mason. Beijing now has a record of 55-40 with the win.
Wei-fang Cheng had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the Beijing pitcher hit a run-scoring single. That put the Emperors in front, 2-1.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Cheng.
