Thunderbirds Rally to Nose Past Santo Domingo
The El Paso Thunderbirds beat the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 5-4. El Paso pitcher and Thai Nguyen, Vietnam, native Tien Dung Long led the way. Long, now 9-10, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Timothy Adamczak earned the save for El Paso, his 2nd.

Thao Trung hit a 3-run home run off Mujtaba Mahmud Khel in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Thunderbirds ahead, 5-4. In addition to the homer, Trung had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"Tien Dung did a good job keeping the game under control," said El Paso manager AP MP.

The win gives El Paso a season record of 52-45.
