Miguel Salazar, who is tied for 7th in the ABL with a 2.99 ERA, pitched a gem in leading Sao Paulo to a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Beefs. Chong-yee Ming earned his 23rd save, after closing out the game. Sao Paulo has now won 4 straight, while the Beefs have lost 3 in a row.
Sao Paulo starter Miguel Salazar was exceptional. The 6-foot-7 left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"I really like what we did out there today," Salazar said after the game.
