Tokyo Dealt 4-2 Defeat
|
The Oslo Voyageurs picked up a win at OsloDome, dropping the Tokyo Fitzies, 4-2. Alois Camber, who finished 4th in the ABL in wins with 15 last year, was the difference-maker. Camber yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 13-4. Kwan-yew Lei, who finished 3rd in the ABL in saves with 31 in 2148, earned the save for Oslo.
The Voyageurs got a big at-bat from center fielder Rimbo Alisjahbana. For the game, Alisjahbana went 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Oslo a 2-0 lead.
After the game, Oslo manager Marq Ualler applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
With the win, Oslo raised its record to 67-31.
