Starting Pitcher Daniel Tejano was lights out, as the Los Angeles Stars beat the Puerto Rico Coqui, 10-1. Tejano, now 7-10, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. The Stars, at 45-54, sit in 4th place in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.

Michael Ferrell had a big 2-run home run for the Stars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Giacomo Cafagna, who is tied for 3rd in the ABL in complete games with 4, and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 4-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Puerto Rico manager Kir By. "We got flat-out beat."
