Spirited fans greeted the Sao Paulo Toucans for their clash with the Chicago Beefs.

Chicago left fielder Jaya Rais played a vital role in his team's 9-4 conquest of Sao Paulo. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for Chicago. Chicago reliever Bob Singleton picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Luis Moreno absorbed the loss.

With Chicago leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth, Rais hit a forkball from Luis Moreno for a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Beefs ahead, 4-2.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Rais told the Chicago Herald.

With the win, Chicago goes to 45-54, while the Toucans fall to 54-45.
